.tim + ash.

The only thing better than one of your good friends falling in love with a wonderful person and getting married, is when TWO of your good friends fall in love and get married... to each other!

Tim and Asharae are two of my favorite people and one of my favorite couples. EVER. I've been good friends with both of them through most of college (Tim and I were even in the same orientation group our first week of freshman year!). It has been SOOOOOOOOOO much fun to know them both separately, then get to see them meet... get to know each other... fall in love with each other's hearts. To get to see them learn to truly give themselves to each other and to God.

And when I say, "get to see them", I really mean it. One of the coolest things about them is the way they have included their community in their relationship, and worked to love others as a couple.

Case in point: lucky me :-)

(I love these pics :-)).

One particular favorite memory, they woke up at 5:30 AM and walked across Honey Rock to hug me goodbye before I left for HNGR. Who does that? They go out for coffee with me as a couple, they pray for their friends together, they 100% enable and affirm the other's gifts.

And they are even nicer and kinder than they are adorable.

Hard to believe, huh?

Love you guys so much, and couldn't be happier for you!! Thank you for letting me be a part of your journey.

Human Needs Global Resources Covenant, 2009

As fellow travelers on this journey, we commit to this covenant before God. Lord, in Your mercy, hear these our prayers:

When confronted with scarcity, need, and inadequacy, may we be nourished by the Bread of Life and the Cup of Salvation. Abundance overflows from Your table, sustaining all who come in faith. Father, help us.

When monotony blurs our vision and dulls our senses, may we encounter others as Christ did, through intentional presence in daily life, submitting as clay to be formed into vessels filled with the Spirit. Christ, guide us.

When wounded by the fractured condition of Your people, may we be united by Your Lordship in faith, hope, and love; seeing, as through the facets of a diamond, the beautiful spectrum of Your light reflected onto Your holy Church joined in praise. Spirit, empower us.

When all Creation groans, afflicted by injustice and driven to despair, may the promise of redemption root us in the hope of Your Kingdom: "Behold, I am making all things new!"

Holy Trinity, send us now into the world in peace, and grant us strength and courage to love and serve You with gladness and singleness of heart.

Amen.
